Philnits Society

The Philnits Society is a non-stock, non-profit, non-government organization with membership limited to IT Professionals who have successfully passed the JITSE/PhilNITS exams.

It is being organized as an exclusive club to promote a culture of excellence among knowledge workers dedicated to the study and use of technology for the improvement of the quality of life of the Filipino.

The formal launching and organizational meeting of the Society was done in a JETRO-sponsored seminar workshop last February 8, 2006 at the Ballroom of the Shangrila Manila Hotel (in Makati).

The Objective of the PhilNITS Foundation in setting up the PhilNITS Society is to help the members of the Society in their career development and at the same time help in the promotion of the PhilNITS Certification Project by showing that there is an advantage in being PhilNITS-certified.

PhilNITS supports the PhilNITS Society through the following activities:

a). Conduct Training Courses in the PhilNITS Offices on current topics not only on the IP, FE & SW Certification Exams but also on other topics. PhilNITS is working closely with the PhilNITS Society and is tapping their members to handle the various Training Programs of PhilNITS like the Computer Literacy Program of the Dept. of Trade & Industry (DTI) for the SMEs called the TECHIE Project. and the Cyber Security Seminars of the National Cyber Security Office (NCSO) of the Commission on ICT

b). Help look for Outsourcing Projects where PhilNITS, because it’s name is already recognized, can be the main      Contractor and will hire, either on a full time or part-time basis, PhilNITS-certified IT Professionals

c). Contract the services of the members of the Society, in preparing other members for work in Japan by conducting lessons in the Japanese Language and Culture.

d). Help in the placement of Society members in Japanese companies that are looking for these certified Professionals.

e) Making its Offices available as an Incubation Center for the PhilNITS Society and their activities.
